Greater Nottingham LIFT

Greater Nottingham LIFT is a Public Private Partnership which was established in 2004 as part of a government initiative to supplement investment in primary health care and social care premises, many of which need modernisation to bring them up to today’s standards.

Greater Nottingham LIFTCo is a limited company with three major shareholders: Primary Plus, the private sector partner, set up by John Laing and the Bank of Scotland, which holds 60% of the equity; Partnerships for Health which holds 20% and the Public Sector, consisting of the Nottinghamshire County teaching Primary Care Trust, Nottingham City Primary Care Trust and Nottingham City Council, which holds the remaining 20%.

This £48 million construction project involves the provision of three health care centres and two joint access centres for the delivery of primary health care and social services. The centres based at Carlton, Stapleford, Clifton, Keyworth and Hyson Green are fully operational.

Laing O’Rourke carried out the construction supported by the architects, CPMG.  John Laing Integrated Services provides hard facilities management over the 25 year duration of the projects.
