More than 10,000 Edinburgh school pupils are benefiting from the project to deliver 19 separate educational and/or community facilities, in two phases resulting from a 32 year contract signed in November 2001.

Construction costs were £132 million and provided two new build secondary schools, three part new build and part refurbishment secondary schools, and the new build of ten primary schools, two special needs schools, a secure unit and a community centre. Each one was completed on programme and indeed those in the second phase were finished ahead of schedule.
