Monday, August 04, 2008 Inteq reaches financial close on £690m Corsham Defence PFI Inteq, the consortium chosen by the MoD to provide a new office and accommodation complex at Corsham in Wiltshire today announces it has reached financial close on the £690 million PFI project.
Financial close for PPP project Kromhout Barracks
Thursday, July 24, 2008 Nieuwegein, The Netherlands, 24 July 2008 – On July 23, Komfort (a cooperation between Strukton, Ballast Nedam and John Laing), has closed the financing agreements for the Public Private Partnership project for the realisation and exploitation of the Kromhout Barracks in Utrecht, The Netherlands. On June 4, 2008 the DBFMO contract with the Dutch Ministry of Defence was signed.
Bilfinger Berger, John Laing, Johann Bunte consortium secures financial close on Germany’s largest PPP
Monday, July 14, 2008 The A1 mobil Consortium, comprising Bilfinger Berger, John Laing and Johann Bunte has reached Financial Close on the PPP project to design, build and widen, finance and operate the A1 Motorway between Bremen and Hamburg in Germany (part of the A-Modell pilot schemes). The project is the largest PPP project awarded in Germany to date with an investment volume of €650m. Financial Close was achieved on 10 July only 30 days after Contract Award.

Friday, June 27, 2008 On 26 June DUO² (a cooperation between Strukton, Ballast Nedam and John Laing) reached Financial close for the PPP project Housing Informatie Beheer Groep and Regional Tax Office in Groningen. The DBFMO contract with the State was signed on 19 March.
Contract Award for John Laing Consortium for German Motorway Upgrade
Wednesday, June 11, 2008 The A1 mobil Consortium comprising John Laing, Bilfinger Berger and Johann Bunte has been awarded the contract for the 30-year concession to design, build and widen, finance and operate the A1 Motorway between Bremen and Hamburg in Germany (part of the A-Modell pilot schemes). Financial close is expected in the early summer 2008. The project is the largest PPP project awarded in Germany to date with an investment of €650m. Revenues will be based on tolls raised from heavy goods vehicles using the A1 Motorway.

Monday, April 14, 2008 The Ministry of Defence has appointed the Komfort consortium as preferred bidder in the European tender for the Public Private Partnership at the Kromhout Barracks in Utrecht. Komfort - a consortium of Ballast Nedam, Strukton and John Laing - provided the most economically attractive offer for the project, which takes the form of a 25-year DBFMO agreement, worth over € 300 million. Komfort has teamed up with Meyer & Van Schooten Architects, Karres & Brands Landscape Architects and ISS Facility Services.
