Disposal of 50% of Defence Management (Holdings) Ltd to Serco Investments LtdMonday, October 03, 2005 John Laing plc ('Laing') announces today that it has sold its 50% interest in contract with the Ministry of Defence ('MoD') to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Joint Services Command & Staff College in Shrivenham. Construction was completed in August 2000 and the concession to operate and maintain the facility expires in 2028. Laing has been involved in this award-winning project since its inception and now that it is well into the operational phase it is widely recognised as a first class facility.
